I am a SEND TA specialising in KS1/KS2 maths (Years 1-6). At work I have 3 main targets across Junior school; supporting individual pupils in their Maths lessons that are on the SEND register. I also plan and deliver interventions to help those pupils that find maths hard and I plan stretch sessions for gifted and talents pupils that excel in Maths. I believe in making the session fun and I work hard to build each pupils confidence in Maths. Over the past year within the SEND department the results of the pupils I work with have been tracked and each pupil has improved their point progress significantly higher than the class average.

Experience: I have worked as a Teaching Assistant for the last 10 years. Due to particular success within the classroom assisting the class teacher, I have been asked in the last year to help restructure the SEND department within the Junior School. I have concentrated on Maths (however, I have had specific training in handwriting, I have attended a 10 week introduction to Dyslexia highlighting the importance of phonics, and I been trained in 1st Class Maths from Edge Hill University).
