*ONLINE ONLY* A fully qualified and experienced tutor, currently Head of English in a secondary school with a proven track record of outstanding results for GCSE and A Level.

I have a proven track record of helping students reach their full potential and achieve the heavily desired level 8 and 9 grades for English Literature and Language. I specialise in the AQA exam board specification and have insider knowledge of how the exam board operates due to being an examiner and participating in exam marking.

My lessons are always tailored to suit the needs of the individual student and can be easily adapted to include anything that I feel the student may be missing in school. I like to assess the student regularly and modify my lessons in accordance with their results, always checking to see that there are no misconceptions. In this way, often students do not need a large amount of tuition but their problem areas can be fixed succinctly.

I offer help with homework, essay writing, exam questions and of course I am happy to help with reteaching of content and revision. The sessions consist of an equal amount of what the student feels they need help with and what I can see they need to improve on.

Availability: Monday - Friday: 5pm-7pm*
Saturday: 8am - 3pm
Sunday: 8am - 12pm

*Occasionally may be unavailable due to in-school commitments but can always rearrange for the next available day

Experience: I have seven years experience tutoring English and five years experience teaching English within a secondary school - of which I am now Head of English. I have also taught English abroad as a second language and have taught adult education classes.

Naturally, working within a secondary school means that I am always up-to-date with the latest approaches to teaching English and apply this pedagogy to my tutoring sessions diligently.
