I am an Oxford graduate and experienced tutor in English Literature and Language. I have extensive experience tutoring English across all abilities and ages, from primary to A Level. I am an experienced mock interviewer and offer tutorials aimed at preparing students for Oxbridge interview. I am passionate about helping pupils progress academically as well as developing their confidence and an enthusiasm for the subject at hand.
I believe it is vital to be able to tailor each set of lessons to the needs and learning style of the individual student. I like to encourage a relaxed but focused working environment with a friendly and engaging style. For me, the greatest reward tutoring can offer is watching a student grow in self-confidence as well as knowledge so that they are able to walk into the exam room feeling secure that they have all the tools to do a brilliant job.
Outside of tutoring, I am passionate about theatre, and work as an actor, singer and musician. I have recently graduated from drama school with Distinction, studying on the MA in Musical Theatre course at the Royal Academy of Music. I can therefore support drama school applications: helping with speech and song selection, and I offer acting through song coaching and monologue direction.

Experience: I graduated from the University of Oxford with a First Class degree in English where I was the recipient of the Stephen Gill Scholarship 2017 for academic attainment, before embarking on a Masters in Musical Theatre from the Royal Academy of Music. I been tutoring privately for three years, tutoring students in English Literature and English Language from primary to A Level.
I have tutored across a range of exam boards for English Literature and Language GCSE and therefore have a thorough knowledge of the current set texts, how to fulfil the marking criteria for specific exam boards, and the 9-1 grading system.
I have also worked with several students in preparation for Oxbridge interviews and assisted them with university applications and personal statement writing for top universities.
