Information about Sherri
I am a qualified Mathematics teacher and Edexcel examiner, offering one-to-one tuition. I studied Mathematics and E-Commerce at the University of Shiraz in Iran, completing both undergraduate and Master’s degrees. Additionally, I earned my PGCE in Mathematics at Middlesex University in London, qualifying as a Mathematics teacher.
I began teaching Mathematics 15 years ago in Iran and have been teaching and tutoring various year groups for the past four academic years.
I am passionate about teaching Mathematics and take pride in helping my students succeed in life. My goal is to help them develop a strong understanding of Mathematics and achieve excellent grades.

Experience: I am currently a secondary Mathematics teacher at an outstanding school in St Albans, with over 19 years of teaching experience in both Iran and the UK. In addition to my classroom teaching, I tutor students at secondary, GCSE and IGCSE.
I have extensive experience teaching Mathematics for the AQA, OCR, and Edexcel exam boards and serve as a Pearson Edexcel examiner. This gives me unique insights into exam expectations and marking criteria, which I use to help students perform their best.

Sherri has been a fantastic tutor for our daughter. Sherri was patient, encouraging, and highly knowledgeable. She took the time to understand our daughter’s learning style and adapted her teaching to suit her needs and provided much practise papers, which made a huge difference in both confidence and understanding. Thanks to Sherri’s clear explanations and consistent encouragement, our daughter has gained huge confidence in her maths abilities and went into her exams feeling well-prepared and much more self-assured.
