I am currently a research fellow in theoretical condensed matter physics, specialising in quantum theory, computational quantum field theory and machine learning.

If you need either:

1) Regular support with any of the theory/maths courses as part of your physics degree
2) A couple of sessions to clear up any confusion on a topic or gain deeper insights
3) Need regular support and advice with a project you are doing

Whatever your situation, just contact me and I`ll see how I can help you. Even if we don`t do a single session, I will still provide you with the best advice I can for free, so it can`t hurt!

I know lots of people stuggle with theory courses. In fact, even if you are very strong mathematically, often the concepts in the course can be very unclear (espcially if you lecturer is a specialist in the subject...) As a researcher working across fields in theoretical physics, I have plenty of experience explaining concepts to non-specialists and I`m sure this will help you not just be able to do the calculations required, but gain a deeper understanding that will make all the relatied courses easier as well.

If you are currently undertaking a theory or computational project, then I also know how often you might need extra support (not everyone fits perfectly with their supervisors style!) So, I also offer regular meetings where I can act in a supervisory role for a project. Please note I won`t be doing the work for you! Instead, I will help you gain the understanding you need to execute your project, and advise you on how to do all the extra bits that are needed (literature reviews, writing the thesis etc).

Availability: My work is flexible and for online meetings we can work out a time that suits you.
