Hi, I am Head of Business and Computing in a successful North Wales Secondary School.

Wow-what a busy 12 months it has been, I have tutored 8 learners online, creating sessions that are engaging, whilst preparing learners to be ready for the examination process. Many of my recent learners have been working at the higher grade levels in England and Wales-whom are all on target to maximise their potential.

I have over 10 years of experience teaching Business Studies and have worked in three schools. I consistently strive to raise the attainment of my students, be it in a classroom or whilst providing one - to - one tuition. I have taught WJEC, Educas, and AQA specifications over the years and have an excellent understanding of the exam expectations within each.

My ethos is to build relationships with my students by providing engaging, knowledgeable sessions whilst ensuring progression can be seen. I thrive off tailoring sessions to the students, to inspire them by applying theoretical content to hobbies and personal aspirations in industries such as sport, fashion, property, hospitality or banking, etc.

Not only have I delivered GCSE and A-Level Business across a range of examining bodies, for the past three years I have been an examiner - marking papers with WJEC. This has enabled me to gain a thorough knowledge of the expectations to maximise marks across knowledge, application, analysis, and evaluations. This has enabled me to support individuals with examination techniques, which is essential to reach the higher grades.

I have previously experienced fantastic results with my students. In 2018, I began offering tuition through Tuto Hunt a student approached me after having achieved an E within their Mock. We worked closely knowledge and application techniques to develop exam structure -she came out with a B and C in Units 1 and 2 of the WJEC A-Level syllabus. A second student from a Private school in Chester approached me with a predicted grade of B - he achieved an A in both Units 3 and 4 of the specification having worked specifically on examination technique. He is now attending London School of Economics and has performed exceptionally well in his first year.

Last year, I tutored one student, who had just achieved an E grade within his Mock and came out with a C grade within the subject at GCSE. This was a male student, who had struggles focusing and knuckling down to work. He was a National Skiier and wanted support focusing on his studies. Building a relationship and applying the subject to meet his interests was key to success.

During holidays, I can offer crash courses and increase the number of sessions if required.

Experience: A very busy year delivering tutoring to 8 learners throughout the past 12 months. All who are on their predicted grades or higher-including 5 of those leaders working at A or A* level who are heading to further study in medicine, law and economics.
