Information about Sarah
I am an experienced science teacher, specialising in GCSE and A Level chemistry. I have most recently worked as Head of Chemistry in a fully comprehensive school in Hertfordshire and have experience teaching both old spec and new spec GCSE and A Level. I am also an experienced examiner, having marked across GCSE and A Level papers for two different exam boards. I am passionate about chemistry and love helping others achieve their full potential in this subject.
Before qualifying as a teacher, I spent 5 years working in the pharmaceutical industry. I graduated from the University of Bristol with first class honours in 2008.
I offer traditional tutoring sessions at a location of your choice as well as online sessions using video calling and an online whiteboard.
Availability: Monday - Friday evenings
Willing to travel: 15 miles
Experience: I have been Head of Chemistry at a fully comprehensive school for 4 years where I specialise in teaching, planning and leading GCSE and A Level chemistry. I have taught both old and new spec GCSE for OCR and AQA and A Level for OCR.

Sarah has been excellent at communicating and preparing for each session. She has encouraged my child and boosted confidence, covering content and exam questions as requested. I would highly recommend Sarah as an A-level Chemistry tutor.

Sarah has been fantastic as a subject tutor for Chemistry and she has many other useful exam tips which my daughter has found invaluable. During 2020, all the lessons have necessarily been over video chat but this doesn`t seem to have presented any difficulties. My daughter and I highly recommend Sarah.
