Experience: I have experience over a number of years helping undergraduate students in a variety of disciplines, offering assistance and guidance in lab practicals to workshop-based problem classes as well as on a 1-2-1 basis. Primarily focused in chemistry and maths, however also teaching these topics and parts of courses to non-specialists, eg chemistry for biologists and maths for chemists.
I appreciate that everyone learns differently, at different rates and in different ways, therefore I try to find a way that works for each learner as an individual, taking into consideration their likes, dislikes and any other interests which could be brought into the learning to help them to understand. In this way and with other methods I try to make it as fun, engaging and relate-able as possible whilst still getting the work done and an understanding gained.
