Information about Matthew
I am an open-minded, reliable and enthusiastic postgraduate from the Courtauld Institute of Art, graduating with distinction in the MA History of Art course. At the Courtauld, I specialised in the reinterpretations of modern art through postmodern theories. Previously, I obtained a first-class honours degree in Fine Art from the University of the Arts London. Currently, I work for the Henry Moore Foundation, and have previously worked for the Courtauld and the Burlington Magazine as an Editorial Assistant. The latter experience has allowed me to improve skills in editing, writing and research.
Availability: Flexible, available weekdays and weekends
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: Giving presentations and providing feedback was a central component of my postgraduate and bachelor studies. As well as this, I have developed my teaching skills through other experiences, such as leading studio tours and offering counselling to prospective students on personal statements, interviews, portfolios and university selection. ; ; Thanks to my experience as a `Fine Art/History of Art` Teaching Assistant at a local Grammar school, I have experience in engaging people from all age ranges, attainment levels and backgrounds. I have also learnt particularly rewarding teaching methods from the members of staff there.
