Trained and worked as a Mechanical Engineer for 20 years in the automotive industry. 2008 financial crash encouraged a rethink and saw me swapping to teaching in my mid forties. I gained PGCE from Worcester University qualifying as a science teacher in 2009. Have taught Physics for 15 years but now family circumstances mean that retirement was a good option.

Experience: 7 years teaching GCSE and A level Physics at RGS independent school in Worcester.
Left to try teaching engineering at Aston University but realised that was the wrong move and went back to secondary teaching at Cheltenham Ladies College, again teaching GCSE and A level Physics to girls from 11 to 18 years old. Both schools were high achieving, CLC especially so with 90% 7 to 9 at GCSE and 75% A/A* at A level.
