I currently teach A-Level Sociology on the AQA specification. The units, which I teach on are: Families and Households, Education, Mass Media, Beliefs in Society, Crime and Deviance and Theory & Methods. Alongside Sociology, I also teach Criminology on the WJEC exam board, whereby I deliver on both Unit 1 (controlled assessment) and Unit 2 (formal external exam).
Finally, I currently teach GCSE Citizenship on the AQA specification.
In addition to my teaching, I am an Examiner and a Team Leader on Paper 2 of the A-Level Sociology AQA specification. I have examined since 2015 and therefore, I am an expert with exam technique.
I have extensive experience of both in-person and online tutoring and would be happy to discuss your needs before any formal sessions take place. I am also happy to consider group tutoring sessions.
Availability: Monday, Tuesday & Friday evenings (After 5.00 pm) & Saturday (Morning)

only positives for Mark, he helped me a lot in improving my ability and made sociology easier for me and more enjoyable i just finished my exams and i feel confident looking towards results day i will do another review post results to show my grades but if you need support with essay structure, general content or questions Mark is your guy!

Since my daughter started having sociology lessons with Mark to help with her A level, her confidence and enjoyment in the subject have increased hugely. She finds him really engaging and helpful - the hour flies by! She has had a few tutors in different subjects over the years, and she says Mark is by far the best she`s had.

My son is really getting a lot of value from Mark`s tutoring through lockdown and is helping build his confidence and subject matter knowledge prior into going into Y13.
