I currently teach A-Level Sociology on the AQA specification. The units, which I teach on are: Families and Households, Education, Mass Media, Beliefs in Society, Crime and Deviance and Theory & Methods. Alongside Sociology, I also teach Criminology on the WJEC exam board, whereby I deliver on both Unit 1 (controlled assessment) and Unit 2 (formal external exam).
Finally, I currently teach GCSE Citizenship on the AQA specification.
In addition to my teaching, I am an Examiner and a Team Leader on Paper 2 of the A-Level Sociology AQA specification. I have examined since 2015 and therefore, I am an expert with exam technique.
I have extensive experience of both in-person and online tutoring and would be happy to discuss your needs before any formal sessions take place. I am also happy to consider group tutoring sessions.
Availability: Monday, Tuesday & Friday evenings (After 5.00 pm) & Saturday (Morning)

I recently completed my Sociology A Level and came out with an A - just a few marks from an A*! I started tutoring with Mark during Year 12 Summer doing weekly sessions and he really helped me build my knowledge as well as my overall confidence when it comes to exams. I missed a lot of school due to my mental health and so attending these tutoring sessions was a main source of my content learning - and it really helped me! Mark has slideshows and exam questions that we walk through each session, which allowed me to learn more about a particular area I was struggling in. I tried a lot of sociology tutors but I decided to stick with Mark because not only did he help me learn the actual content, but he also helped my exam anxiety and fear of getting things wrong! Mark is very kind and patient with students and I would recommend to anyone looking for sociology tutoring!

only positives for Mark, he helped me a lot in improving my ability and made sociology easier for me and more enjoyable i just finished my exams and i feel confident looking towards results day i will do another review post results to show my grades but if you need support with essay structure, general content or questions Mark is your guy!
