Information about Meirin

13 years experience tutoring primary to university. Offering Maths, Physics, Additional Maths, Further Maths, Astronomy. In Welsh or English. Offering tutorials at my flat or online.

I operate a different model. My cost is based on your family’s income, so that I can give free lessons to those that can’t afford.

My fee is based on tax brackets as follows
Below 12750: free, no travel fee
12750-50270: £1 an hour for every 1k, 35p per mile travel
50270-125140: £1 an hour for every 1k, 40p per mile
125140+: £1 an hour for every 1k, 45p per mile

Please be honest or this won’t work and disadvantage gaps will continue to grow.

Availability: Generally available after 15:00 weekdays and weekends. Odd weeks I`m not available some weekdays and weekends, but will communicate and find a workaround.

Experience: 13 years experience tutoring maths, physics, computing, astronomy from primary through university. Leader of Maths mentoring programme at school, won award for biggest contribution to school life. PhD in data science (combining maths, physics, computer science). Masters in physics. Experience in Welsh and English (also fluent in French). Associate Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (qualification for teaching at university)

Meirin has an excellent approach to tutoring ensuring he is well prepared and adapts to the needs of the individual. An absolute bonus is that he can teach A level Maths bilingually and switches easily between Welsh and English. Very quick to respond to queries would definitely recommend
