Information about Matt

I have been teaching Physics for over 10 years now. I am well versed in the teaching of the KS3 Science curriculum, GCSE and A level Physics courses.

For the last 4 years I have been the head of two physics departments.

I have been teaching and tutoring Physics since 2014 and have covered the AQA, Edexcel and OCR exam boards.

I have taught a wide range of students of varying abilities and I have come to realise that confidence is a vital part of success.
I have a BSc in Mathematical Physics from the University of Nottingham, which has given me a very strong understanding of the mathematical processes and relationships involved with the subject. I followed my degree with a PGCE in Physics with Maths, which has led me to be qualified to teach both.
For five years, I have marked A level papers for AQA, which has given me invaluable experience of what the exam boards are looking for. I was also awarded a level A standard of marking.
