Information about Sakina Fatima
I am an Astrophysics masters graduate from UCL. I graduated in BSc Physics from Imperial College London. Pursuing a degree in physics has required me to solve problems in both maths and physics on a daily basis, requiring me to have a very good grasp on all the topics I have covered up to and beyond A-Level in both subjects.
I am as fluent in Urdu as I am in English, and would therefore be willing to explain most problems in Urdu as well for those who struggle to understand questions due to English not being their mother tongue.
Availability: Weekdays: afternoons and evenings
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I have been tutoring Maths and Science upto GCSE/A Level since 2015 and have previously been a teacher at a Sunday school from 2012 to 2020, with experience teaching ages 7 to 14.
I also have experience helping friends and family in both England and India with maths and physics homework problems and revision up to (and including) A levels, including setting my own problems to further their understanding and help them become thorough in answering questions related to the topic.
I like to get to know each student individually and tailor my tutoring methods to their needs. I allow students to voice their concerns and areas they would like to improve on and focus my efforts on helping them in these areas. I go over concepts which they don`t understand or need clarifying, help them with homework and set them problems and exam questions to improve exam technique. I like to contact the student beforehand to know what they would like to cover in the next session and prepare for it accordingly.
