I am the Head of Literacy and KS3 Coordinator for English for an Outstanding School in Hillingdon. I have an L.lb Law and English degree and a PGCE in English with Media and Drama.

During the years I have spent teaching English, I have had the opportunity to teach across all the key stages including A Level Language and Literature to a co-educational cohort and across the full range of express sets, mixed ability classes and learning support groups. This has entailed teaching a wide range of texts, and empowering pupils to become more fluent with their oral and literacy skills.

My whole school role as Head of Literacy has enabled me to work with staff across the curriculum, liaising with other faculties, developing innovative ways to improve key skills and knowledge of subject-specific vocabulary.
