Information about Niall
Hi there! My name`s Niall and I recently graduated from the University of Cambridge with a BA in Biological Natural Sciences, focusing particularly on ecology, conservation and animal biology.
I have a range of teaching experience, having taught English in Hong Kong and biology and geography both in Poland, Dubai and the UK. Two of my recent students have gone on to achieve places at Oxford University. I`m a very sociable, outgoing guy who finds it easy to get along with people and, as cheesy as it sounds, wants to make learning interactive, energetic and (relatively speaking) fun! But most of all, I want you to achieve the very best you can in the exams and I will try my upmost to help you along the way!
I`m a keen sportsman and enjoy working on creative television projects - I have in fact recently worked as a researcher on an upcoming "Attenborough-esque" documentary for National Geographic.
Before heading to Cambridge I achieved 2A* and 2A at A level with 98% in Biology and 99% in Geography.
At GCSE I got 11A* and 1A.
I wish for my sessions to be highly energetic and at times a little unusual which I think ensures more is memorised and they are far far more enjoyable and not just simply an extension of school. I try to start each session with a recap and will place the appropriate emphasis on past papers (which in biology is particularly vital, as so many marks come down to writing the right words at the right time).
Availability: I am at work from 9 till 6 but am available in the evenings and normally at weekends too so please get in touch to arrange the best mutual time!
Willing to travel: 3 miles
Experience: I have taught biology A level and GCSE to students in the UK, Dubai and Warsaw. Three of my recent students went on to achieve A* biology grade at A level and two have gone on to achieve places at Oxford University.
