Information about Parisa

Hi! I am a medical student passionate about teaching and providing a motivating environment for learning. I have always enjoyed teaching, and it forms a big part of my future career.
I`ve definitely had my fair share of struggles during education, but I`m proud of how I persevered to achieve my goals.
One thing I wish I had done was ask for help from a tutor to give me the extra confidence I needed in my studies, which is what I hope to provide for students.
My hobbies include music, travelling and playing rugby for my university. I love socialising and meeting new people and I`ve always prided myself on being approachable and considerate.

Availability: I`m available most days of the week at any time of day as my course is now majority online to be completed as I wish.

Willing to travel: 2 miles

Experience: I have experience facilitating GCSE biology lessons as an online tutor, which has been a great experience to help me get used to working online!

I have taught foreign exchange students how to read, write and speak English, and I have also volunteered tutoring refugee children in IT skills and adapting to a new community. This has helped me learn how to interact with students of different backgrounds and abilities with different walks of life, and has made me a more well-rounded person and tutor.

I`ve also delivered teaching to my peers at university through medical society events and modules where I have hosted lectures online on medical topics. This has taught me organisation and to work well independently.

I`ve taught dance lessons at college, which enabled me to experience a different style of learning and a more creative side to education.
