Information about Katie
Hi there! I have a 2:1 Theatre and English Literature degree from Lancaster University with three years experience tutoring for a national tuition company and three years independent tutoring experience. I am currently studying MSc Marketjng at Lancaster University.
I can tutor children from ages 4-15 in Maths and English, I can tutor 11+ and I could also tutor GCSE/A-Level for English Literature having achieved A* at GCSE and A at A-Level. I can also tutor Maths GCSE, having achieved an A* in my own maths GCSE.
Availability: Sessions can be arranged through individual discussions.
Willing to travel: 1 miles
Experience: Fully qualified tutor for 3 years - trained in all national curriculum teaching methods experience in 11+ tuition, maths and English and creative writing in particular.

Katie has been tutoring my daughter for about three months now and, in that time, I’ve seen huge improvements in my daughter’s self-confidence. Katie is extremely approachable and professional and is always well-prepared for lessons. She discusses options for study with my daughter and then plans her lessons based on these requirements. She has been able to offer excellent study and revision skills and her feedback is always clear and easy to understand. In a recent ‘unseen poetry’ test at school my daughter received a grade 9 - up from a grade 5 in a previous test. I feel my daughter is now in a much stronger position to do well in her upcoming English GSCE’s and we are very happy to have found Katie on Tutor Hunt. We would definitely recommend Katie.
