Information about Ezra
Hi, I`m Ezra! I`m a non-binary tutor with passion for helping individuals find their skills. I have a doctorate in English & Creative Writing, am a published novelist and poet, a voracious reader, and love making and looking at art. My novel `The Aziola`s Cry` was published May 2024.
When not tutoring I work in the arts (writing and theatre mostly) and teach courses in creative writing at school and university.
*please note I have lower rates for art and creative writing over summer*
Availability: Weekday afternoons/evenings and weekends.

Experience: I’ve been tutoring for fourteen years independently and through agencies and have had hundreds of students. I love most helping people improve the English reading and writing skills, but have also assisted students in raising their grades for GCSE, A-Level, IB, and university.
I have taught in university for six years, and am currently teaching part time in secondary school.
I’ve run creative writing courses in libraries, and teach university entrance courses in a number of London’s top schools.
I also volunteer teaching courses online to communities in Uganda that have limited access to education.
I have several creative writing mentees through university and independent work; I’m very proud to say I have helped several students hone their poetry and prose to reach publication.

I am a BA Creative Writing and English Literature student and Ezra has been tutoring me on a broad range of tasks and module topics. They have led our lessons in an organised, timely, and proficient manner, and have been punctual to lessons as well as flexible with booking sessions. Ezra has been instrumental in developing the necessary skills to draft and edit my own work, including improving overall executive function (planning, time management, goal setting, etc) so I could get my work done much quicker than I normally would; as well as helping me to meet the criteria of my assignments and reach my potential.
