I am a friendly and conscientious tutor with a particular interest in English literature. After achieving A* in English A level, I took a 2:1 in English Literature and Philosophy at the University of York. I have also working in education roles in central government.

During this time I realised that successful teaching is about instilling a genuine interest in the subject which, in turn, provides motivation to succeed in exams and coursework. I hope to encourage students to have the same excitement for English literature as I do. I aim to form a strong relationship with the student in a relaxed and friendly environment.

After my degree I trained as a chartered accountant. I would be happy to take on students working towards accountancy qualifications at either A level or degree level.

Experience: I have over two years of experience tutoring English at GCSE and A level as well as assisting with university applications. I have helped students to achieve their desired grade and to secure offers from top tier universities.

I am an ACA qualified (first time exam passes), chartered accountant with 4 years post qualification experience in both practice and industry.
