I have been a professional double bassist for over twenty years now. I`ve performed extensively in the London jazz scene & have played at prestigious venues such as the Vortex, Jazz Cafe & Pizza Express, Soho & festivals like Glastonbury, Shetland Folk Festival & Fengaros in Cyprus.I started to learn the double bass and bass guitar at the age of 10. As a teenager I became a member of Cornwall Youth Jazz orchestra & began to take professional engagements in local bands & theatre productions. I moved to London at the age of 18 to study music at University & have lived & worked as a musician there ever since. I have worked with artists from the world of folk & blues such as Ben Faulkner’s Bonfire Band & Adam Beattie & singer- songwriters such as Baxter Dury, son of the legendary Ian Dury as well as some of the UK`s most innovative jazz artists. I have played on over a dozen commercial albums & sessions for library & film music. Recently my focus has been drawn more towards work as a composer. In 2018 I was involved in creating & performing music for the theatre show ‘The Lost Disc’ in Soho Theatre & in the same year I co-wrote the musical score for a hit version of A Christmas Carol with the world renowned Spymonkey at Liverpool Playhouse. I composed a critically acclaimed album of original music with my trio, Aurelius which was released in 2018.
