MA English Literature graduate from Durham University (first class). My name is Maddy, I`m a 31 year old professional living in Lewisham with extensive prior tutoring experience. Passionate about education and learning, I specialise in teaching English and History to degree level.

Approachable, well presented and personable, I believe in catering education to the student and will work relentlessly to achieve the best possible results.

A first class graduate from a top 10 university, I understand the pressure that comes with examinations and will always endeavour to equip students academically and emotionally. In addition, I aim to create an environment for learning that enhances enjoyment and sparks future passions.

2015 Personal tutor to an ambitious GCSE student achieving high grades in Science and Maths, but struggling with English Literature. Progressed to receive an A in his exams.

2015 Personal tutor to six year old sitting entrance exams for top prep schools in London.

2014 Personal tutor to Chinese student about to start at Cheltenham Ladies College. Very limited English, to an understanding of Shakespeare in 3 months.

2011-2014 Personal mentor, one on one teaching GCSE and A Level in English Literature and History.

In addition to my academic teaching, I have also been a part time dance teacher for students aged 5-16.
