Information about Alex
Hi I`m Alex. Before the pandemic I was studying to be a secondary school science teacher, however I left this as I had serious issues with the way things are tought in schools. I believe in tailoring learning to the specific needs of the learner which is almost impossible in a busy classroom environment. 1-on-1 or small group tutoring allows me to develop a better relationship with learners and help them achive to their potential.
Availability: I am currently only doing online sessions, but will be opening up the possibility of in person once things are safe to do so.
I am happy to use Zoom, Skype, or other software that you find most convenient.
I am Available all times Monday-Saturday apart from Monday evening.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: Direct teaching experience in a diverse selection of schools in Liverpool, including King Davids, Archbishop Blanch, and De La Salle. I have also been tutoring for around 5 years.
I have worked with local mental health organisations, with training in working with young people with mental health difficulties.
I have experience working with people with various SEN and with English as a second language. I am especially good at working with students with issues such as anxiety, as my youth work focused largely on this kind of difficulty.
