I am a 18 Year old student that has just completed my A Levels Spanish, (9 at GCSE and A at A Level), Geography (8 at GCSE and A at A Level) and RS (9 at GCSE and A* at A Level) and Business at AS (grade B). Year 1 Hispanic Studies student at Warwick University.

Why learn Spanish?

Spanish is one of the most important global languages and I want to help people develop fluency in the language which binds over 400 million people globally across a variety of rich cultures and 21 countries.

Experience: My visit to Barcelona in March 2018 piqued my interest in Spain`s diverse architectural heritage, as I visited Poble Espanyol`s buildings and many of Antoní Gaudi`s unique creations such as: Casa Mila (La Pedrera), Parc Güell and La Sagrada Familia. Immersed in the city, I grew in confidence speaking with skills acquired from four hours language tuition at The Family Language Centre.

As part of my house leadership team and as a regular volunteer supporting younger students during the Summer Reading Challenge and Have Your Say language competition, I have gained essential leadership and teaching skills that has equipped me as a tutor. In the University of Sheffield`s 2020 translation competition, I was challenged to expand my vocabulary and accurately communicate the writer`s ideas from Spanish to English. In addition, during year 12 I privately tutored GCSE geography as well as volunteered tutoring maths for a year in a primary school.
