Information about Matthew

I have a Masters (MPhil) from Cambridge in International Relations, a 1st Class degree in Politics/IR, and I really enjoy teaching. I am particularly strong at helping students to structure powerful written answers, develop and articulate their own point of view in a compelling way and nail exactly what is expected of them by examiners.

My background is in International Relations, Politics, Philosophy, International Development, conflict, social change, political theory (that sort of thing), though I can also help with English, History, Sociology, Citizenship and other Humanities subjects.

While my 9-5 work is in the non-profit sector, I teach a summer school university taster course at Cambridge for 14-18 year-old students exploring International Politics and History, receiving outstanding feedback every year.

I provide tuition for:

- essays, essay-writing technique and structuring of written work (all levels),
- exam preparation, past papers, strategy for an upcoming exam, revision (all levels),
- postgraduate and undergraduate dissertations,
- proofreading and working on applications, personal statements, and interviews,
- university taster courses for students preparing to begin a new undergraduate program
- anybody studying International Relations, Politics, Sociology, Development etc. at any level

Availability: Flexible, happy to work some weekday evenings and weekends.

Willing to travel: 30 miles
