Information about Rebecca
I am an enthusiastic teacher of English, with a Masters degree in Literature and a PGCE in Secondary English. I am able to inspire and motivate students to enjoy the subject and build their confidence through developing their skills and knowledge. My guidance is individually tailored to help them understand the specific requirements of exam boards. I believe the key to great teaching is to build a positive rapport with students and to combine a professional approach with good humour.
I have worked for many years in Further Education and Sixth Form colleges; I have also taught English in Spain and Japan which has broadened my outlook and cultural knowledge. I love reading (of course!), cinema and theatre; travelling and languages.
Availability: Tuesday from 5pm
Wednesday and Thursday all day/evening

Experience: I currently teach part time in a sixth form college and have 25 years’ experience of successfully delivering the following courses: A`Level English Language and Literature A’ Level English Literature and GCSE English. I have extensive experience of teaching one- to - one classes within different institutions and also as a private tutor. I am qualified in EFL and have worked in Spain and Japan with children and adults.

Rebecca has been helping my daughter with her GCSE English. She has a great manner with students & works through the material thoroughly. She has a fantastic approach that helped my daughter better understand the curriculum and grasp the full expectations with confidence.
