Sheena

I studied Economics at Cambridge University and have a Masters in Globalisation and Development at the School of Oriental and African Studies. I specialise in tutoring A-Level Economics, and also teach 11+ Maths and English. I also have extensive experience in the technical and creative sectors, and have worked for over 7 years as in the field of international development for international organisations, and as an independent documentary filmmaker.

I believe that key to successful tutoring is inspiring confidence and enthusiasm in the student, enabling them to think independently about the subject. I was lucky enough to benefit from an excellent teacher during my school years, and know first-hand, the value of such support.

Experience: I have tutored students in A/AS-level Economics and 11+ Maths and English in the UK. I have also taught classroom English as a second language in Latin America, and am a certified English language teacher. I gained my CELTA qualification in 2010.

Other work experience includes working in investment banking (1 year), international development consultant on economic policy (6 years) and as a documentary filmmaker (6 years).
