Hi I’m Hannah! I’ve been tutoring for 4 years having taken over 10 GCSE students from grade 3 to grade 5 and boosted many other students grade from grade 5 to grade 7. I`ve also tutored A-level students helping them go from a B to an A and get into their first choice university.

I have just finished my Engineering degree at the University of Southampton, graduating with a 1st Class Honours and am starting a PhD in Engineering at the University of Cambridge. Having just finished my own exams, I can relate to the stress that the students are going through and try to implement good study skills and exam techniques alongside the tutoring. I also have great knowledge of the exam boards as I have been tutoring consistently for four years (since my own A-levels) and my degree in Engineering has furthered my knowledge in maths past GCSE and A-level, allowing me to effectively explain different topics. I try to make the lessons as informative as possible while still (trying!) to be quite relaxed and fun.

I believe that education is very important and I hope to help my students learn how to study effectively themselves, outside of lessons, so they learn good study habits which they can take throughout their educational careers. I also encourage small homework tasks between lessons to keep the topics fresh in the students heads, although this can be discussed and altered depending on their workload- I don`t want to add to their stress! Learning can be an enjoyable experience, so I try and focus the lessons to be enjoyable and informative, to encourage a love for education and a natural curiosity as well as increasing the students confidence in the subjects.
