I am a part-time tutor and part-time science writer with over ten years of teaching experience. I have a BSc in Biochemistry and a PhD in clinical neuroscience. I have set up and created content for a science revision website, which together with my teaching experience means that I have a thorough understanding of the curriculum and specification requirements. I have received some positive feedback from past students, some of whom have progressed multiple grade brackets and received offers from their first-choice universities. I have tutored students who have gone on to study medicine, veterinary science and dentistry, and others who have received places from Oxford and Cambridge.

Experience: I have over ten years of tutoring experience involving students with a wide range of abilities. I have tutored students who want to bridge the gap between an A and an A* (or an 8 to a 9) while others have been struggling with fundamental concepts, who I have helped progress from a fairly low grade. I tailor each of my lessons to suit the needs of the individual student. I like to include a mix of revision-based activities combined with past paper questions since the application of knowledge to an exam format is often what students struggle with. I am a patient tutor that tries to get the most out of my students while creating a relaxed, enjoyable atmosphere.
