I am an experienced teacher and head of History with head of year responsibilities for Year 11. I have taught for 5 years and throughout my 5 years I have provided personalised and effective intervention and tutoring for numerous pupils across all year groups. I have taught History, English and R.E across my time in a school setting. I have a bachelors and masters degree in History and I have a wide network of contacts to allow me to get you in touch with specialists to enrich your learning experience. I am based in Manchester and I am happy to teach online or travel to teach in person. I have a track record of achieving outstanding results for my pupils and I can certainly assist you in achieving the best grade/mark possible.

Experience: I have tutored to both GCSE and A-Level standards and have applied my extensive knowledge of pedagogy to tutoring sessions in order to aid students with recall and applying content to exam style questions. I have tutored both in person and online via Microsoft teams and I have created numerous resources which have been instrumental in supporting home learning. My tutoring is personal and it places the decisions in the hand of the learner. I provide options on how to learn and the learner has the opportunity to select the strategy that helps them the most. I am an inclusive and accommodating tutor and my passion for history and teaching ensures that sessions are both engaging and thought provoking. Additionally, my knowledge of cognition and pedagogy ensures that learners analyse the historical content and learn how to effectively answer exam style questions and develop the second order concepts necessary to succeed at GCSE and A-Level.
