I am an enthusiastic and experienced sociology teacher. I have excellent subject knowledge and combine this with an ability to break sociology down into manageable and accessible ideas. I also place great emphasis on the skills needed for success in sociology. I have a passion for sociology and always aim to engage students via a variety of teaching techniques and resources designed to meet the needs of a range of learners. I have consistently helped both GCSE and A–level sociology students to achieve excellent grades, including the 2025 cohort.

Experience: I have 33 years` experience as a GCSE and A level sociology teacher, the last 15 years of which were as Head of Department/Curriculum Team Leader in a successful Leeds` school. I am now focusing more on tutoring, having recently semi-retired from my school role. I have a strong track record of helping students to succeed in sociology, and to exceed their expected/target grades.
