Information about John
I have over 23 years of teaching experience. My main specialisms are ALevel law (AQA) (OCR) and (WJEC) and Criminology (WJEC). I have worked with SEN schools and Special EBD schools.In addition I have had to work with Dyslexic individuals in law and improved their chances and grades.In addition I have done assignments that involve the teaching of English, the humanities such as Geography, Citizenship, Religious Education and History at Francis Combe Academy in early 2017. I have been teaching English as a private tutor since September 2017.
Aside from my experience are my qualities, patient, lots of empathy, humour, motivational skills.
I encourage students to embrace challenges, deal with a frustration threshold and to reframe experiences in a very positive way. Praise of effort as opposed to intelligence brings better results and this part of my mantra as a tutor.A Level In addition I have kept up with the latest studies on grit which is important as a predictor of success.
On top of this layer of teaching I have added Equity and Trust Law, Land Law, Intellectual Property Law, Cyber Security Law and Content Liability to my repertoire.

Experience: I have tutored 6 law students and I have been a chess coach for 21 years when I did many one on one situations. I have taught A-Level law for 19 years. In ten years I have taught at schools and colleges all over the country with a good track record in results. In addition I have taught law students Access to Law courses and with success.One student who requested help in Property law at a University has passed a very difficult exam.
I have been a tutor of KS1 and KS2 English at the [contact detail removed] since September 2017 where I have developed the spelling, grammar and punctuation skills of the students with great feedback in terms of satisfaction.
In my experience, I have had to create resources, acquire new resources,develop ICT skills, adapt to the needs of the students and also build a rapport with students of all types and ethnic backgrounds.
