I am British, married with two children (grownups) both are employed.
I was graduated from Newcastle University followed by various professional qualifications A Chartered Engineer with Fellowship. Served in the British Merchant Navy for many years. While I was working in West Africa, I engaged in teaching voluntarily (in my free time) English Maths and Science, children of all ages. This made me interested in teaching. Soon I realised that it was what I wished to do after ending my career overseas. In 1998 I ended my career overseas and decided to embark in teaching. In 1999 I took up teaching as a full-time private tutor which I continue up to date.
I am a Registered member of [contact detail removed] number of most reputed private teaching agencies in the Country and I was elected as the best Tutor of the Year in number of occasions.
Teaching Experience:
Full time Private Tutor (mainly one to one but occasionally group) from 1999 up to date. I set very high standards and my students have always been achieving very high grades (A and A star) in all the subjects been taught. ( KS2 Maths, Science and English, KS3 Maths and Science. GCSE Maths, Physics and Chemistry, GCE A Level, Maths, Physics, Chemistry and Further Maths)
Tutoring Approach:
Initial assessment followed by structured and tailor-made teaching programme to suit and meet individual needs. All lessons are kept in line with what is taught in the school and in line with the National Curriculum. Progress of the pupil is repeatedly tested by regular home-work and monthly mini tests. Parents are kept well informed throughout the course of studies.
Substantial amount of revision and past paper questions are done prior to the examinations. No of mock tests are carried out to ensure that the students are fully prepared to achieve highest grades in the Exam. Nearly all my pupils over the years have continued with me until they entered the University of 1st choice. I have quite often prepared the students successfully for entrance exams for top schools such as Eton, Harrow, Cheltenham, Wickham Abbey Wellington, Kendrick ......
The teaching sessions are not only well organized but also conducted with friendly approach so that the students not only acquire good knowledge in the subjects taught but gain a lot of confidence essential to obtain good exam results.
