Information about Elizabeth
An experienced teacher specialising in Chemistry. I am keen to tutor Chemistry students studying the following courses: A Level specifications AQA or OCR A and BTEC Level 3 Applied Science).
I am happy to do the following:
-group tuition on a particular topic, to help split the cost
-one-off or last minute tuition sessions on specific topics (A Level Chemistry or examined Applied Science units)
-a series of tuition sessions on topics of your choice
-assisting with creation of revision timetables and stress management techniques
-proof reading of assignments and dissertations

Experience: I graduated with a first class Masters in Chemistry at University of Huddersfield and then proceeded to complete a postgraduate research degree at University of Birmingham which resulted in a science publication in ACS Catalysis.
I have examiner experience with Cambridge Examiners, have worked in an industrial setting at P&G, mentored students working within a scientific research team and have 7 years teaching experience, including Chemistry A Level (OCR A syllabus) and managing courses as course leader.

Liz has been an excellent Tutor! I started tuition with Liz in March 2020 - May 2021 and she has been brilliant throughout COVID with online zoom lessons and offering all of the support she can. Lesson structure is always great, and she helped me stay on track in between lessons by setting me To-Do lists to do in my own time. Liz is always organised and she kept me updated as I progressed through the A-Level content. Liz has always been there to help with when I have been stuck on questions/topics offering extra email support alongside the lessons we did. Not only has she been very supportive and helpful but I have thoroughly enjoyed learning about chemistry, her lessons are always interesting! A great tutor who I would recommend to anyone! I started having tuition with Elizabeth in April this year to boost my knowledge on A Level chemistry topics I struggled on before the June exams. Elizabeth was so helpful and super friendly too - she answered all my questions and really boosted my confidence before the exams. She offered to come to our house too as we lived close to her. Elizabeth was always on time to our sessions and prepared material in advance of each session from a list of topics I`d given her to cover. In the sessions she would explain the concepts of the topic I struggled with, let me ask any questions I had and then we would do past paper questions together as she taught me better exam technique. All in all I would highly recommend Elizabeth for A Level Chemistry tuition as she is friendly, helpful and a great explainer which is exactly what I needed. The boost of confidence she gave me from having the tuition sessions also helped in the exams as I felt very prepared.
