Information about Carole
I am a dedicated science teacher, who has been successfully tutoring KS3 and GCSE students for many years. As a mum of two (now adult children) and having taught in both state and private schools for over 25 years, I have the passion and ability to instil a love of learning in all my pupils.
I have a patient and friendly approach, suitable to teaching students of all abilities and aim to give each of my students the confidence to achieve their very best in science!
Availability: Monday to Friday afternoons and evenings.

Experience: I am a very experienced science teacher, DBS checked, with over 25 years of experience teaching in both private and state education. I have taught children from KS1 to KS4 and I therefore have the experience to tutor pupils of all ages.
I have tutored many pupils over the years, with excellent success rates. I tailor my teaching to the needs of each individual student.
I am able to offer online lessons to students via Zoom.
I specialise in GCSE Biology and Chemistry, and am familiar with AQA, OCR and Edexcel exam boards.

Carole is an excellent tutor. Her lessons are clear, organised and she has a wonderful way of explaining things. She’s incredibly approachable and my 16 year old son was at ease with her from the very first lesson. He’s studying GCSE biology and had got left behind a bit at school. He’s had four lessons with Carole so far in preparation for the exams to cover content and exam technique. His confidence has increased ten fold and he’s in a much stronger position. Would definitely recommend.

Carole`s GCSE teaching for Biology and Chemistry has been outstanding. Our regret is that we didn`t find Carole sooner than the start of the final school year because her teaching has been transformative. My son has developed not only a very good understanding of the GCSE Biology and GCSE Chemistry course content but also an ability to think about new problems confidently using knowledge developed in other topics. He really does appreciate that Carole encourages and supports independent thinking and problem solving skills and he speaks very highly about her teaching. He`s very thankful to Carole and I`m very grateful as well because her skilled teaching and care to help develop independent problem solving skills has made a huge difference not only to his understanding of the subjects but also to his interest in the subjects.
