I am a second year medicine student at Kings College University. I am 20 years old and enjoy playing basketball and cycling in my free time.

As a tutor, I believe my greatest attribute would be the ability to teach students about how to learn in ways which are the most effective and time efficient. Also after just completing A levels myself I feel I have a greater understanding of what examiners are testing and how to answer exam questions that other tutors.

Prior to the lesson I would ask the student to give me a topic they struggle on. This would allow me to prepare the lesson plan and exam questions which test that knowledge. During the lesson I aim to teach in a way where the student will be able to understand the underlying concept of that topic. At the end of the lesson I would go through an example exam question and then ask the student to take me through a different exam question, implementing what they learnt.
The best method of learning is one which includes active recall and spaced repetition. Through these ways a student is able to learn information at a much faster rate. I used a variety of methods during my A-levels to better learn the information and how to answer exam questions, allowing me to achieve 3A*’s.

I am also offering tutoring for the BMAT and UKCAT exams.
