Hello!

My name is Leanne, I`m 40 and am a fully qualified English tutor.

I have a first class degree in English with Creative Writing from Falmouth University, an MA in English Literature from the University of Bristol, and a PGCE in Secondary English. I am able to tutor KS3, GCSE, A` Level, and degree level English students. I can also support adult learners.

I love nature, gardening and walking. I enjoy cooking, yoga and healthy living as much as good old tea and cake. I write songs and poetry and I love performing. I have various writing projects on the go - plays, essays, fiction and non-fiction.

I have just completed an MA in English Literature at the University of Bristol. I am now enjoying a new job at City of Bristol College as a Learning Assistant, supporting SEND students.

Availability: I am currently available on Monday and Tuesday afternoons and evenings.

I have tutored 15+ students in literature, language, and creative writing. These have ranged from years 4 through to 13. I have also taught adult learners including GCSE resits, Creative Writing, and basic English skills. I can support undergraduates in a wide range of subjects, helping to plan essays, refine arguments, structure work, and research texts.

During my PGCE I boarded at an independent school which specialised in SEND teaching. I now support SEND students at City of Bristol College and I understand the diverse needs of SEND students. I pride myself on delivering personalised tutoring to a wide range of learners, and work holistically with students, their parents and carers, and their teachers.

As well as tutoring with specific objectives in mind, such as passing exams with desired grades, my aim is to nurture every student to increase confidence in their abilities and instill a lifelong enjoyment of English.
