Laura

My name is Laura, I’m 24 and I’m based in Maida Vale, London. I grew up in Spain and I moved to London 6 years ago to study theatre. I recently graduated in Drama, applied theatre and education at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama.

Experience: I’ve been passionate about Spanish since very young age. I started delivering Spanish lessons for Spanish A-levels when I was living in Madrid. Additionally, I have worked as a teacher assistant in St Paul’s Primary school in London, as a Spanish tutor in Manchester and as a drama facilitator at Hillbrow Theatre in South Africa.
Due to my background in theatre, I have a very interactive approach in my methodology. I listen to the students needs and I prepare my lessons by taking into account the student’s personality. I believe learning a language should be fun and useful thats why my classes are informal. However, as a native teacher I like to focus as well in the grammar, in order to cover all aspects of the language learning: Listening, speaking, reading, writing and grammar.
