Information about Ffion
Hello, I`m Ffion. Originally from North Wales, I am now based in the South of France after 6 years of living in London working as a brand writer.
Ever since I was young Ive had a passion for languages. This eagerness to embrace new cultures certainly derives from the adoration I feel for my mother tongue, the Welsh language. This is part of the reason I decided to do a TESOL course before going to university, which was the most intense yet stimulating and enjoyable course I have ever done.
Having graduated with a BA (Hons) in English and French in 2015, I have excellent command of both languages as well as a high-level of proficiency in English and French literature. Living in Paris before going to University as well as spending a year at the University of Perpignan during my degree, has made me well-acquainted and educated in French culture. As a trilingual graduate I am accustomed to focusing on proficient grammar skills, lucid articulation and strong cultural awareness assets that I believe would be of great value as a personal tutor.
I have an eclectic range of interests and hobbies from singing to writing poetry to keeping fit. As a personal tutor I am able to draw from all these areas to bring enthusiasm, creativity and passion for learning into my work. I believe strongly in pushing personal boundaries to broaden horizons and reach potentials and I am very ambitious in every aspect of my life.
Availability: My availability is quite flexible so we can work together to find a time that suits.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I`ve completed the Trinity Cert. TESOL an English teaching qualification that I could easily adapt to teach anything from English GSCE/ A level to Adult beginners.
Many of my voluntary and professional experiences have involved teaching young people of all ages and backgrounds. My weekly gymnastics coaching, for example, enabled me to use my creativity and enthusiasm in preparing engaging lessons for primary and secondary school children. As a result the children showed great improvement and many surpassed specific club targets, going on to represent the county at national competitions.
Working as a teaching assistant for children with learning difficulties at secondary level gave me another perspective on learning styles which further developed my skills as a teacher. It taught me the importance of adapting teaching methods for individual needs, which ensures that every student reaches their potential and receives the aid and attention they require.

Ffion helped a lot with areas that I needed to work on, especially pronunciation. It`s still a work in progress but better than what it was.
