I am currently studying Mathematics at the University of Bath and would love to tutor younger students and help them improve their mathematical skills. I am a keen problem solver, having taken part in the UKMT maths challenges for the past three years both individually and while representing my school team. A gold award in the senior maths challenge in 2019 meant I could do the British Maths Olympiad.

When not studying maths, I play chess, having represented my university team in a number of matches. I am a member of the orchestra and enjoy playing the violin. Additionally, I like playing sports such as squash and running.

Experience: When I was at school, I ran maths society, during which I came up with new ideas of activities to do in the club so that the students would enjoy themselves each week. Because of this, I will be able to provide engaging and interactive sessions for any tutees. Additionally, I was a maths mentor and French mentor where I spent lunch breaks helping students improve their understanding of the subjects, and I really enjoyed seeing their progress over the year. Additionally, I have had two different weeks of work experience in primary schools, one in the UK and one in Belgium where I interacted with the children and helped them learn, for example by giving feedback after listening to them read and working in smaller groups with children who struggled more in mathematics.
