Hello I`m Richard.

The best thing I can do for you as a science student is to develop your confidence and put you in a far better place for achieving what you want and need from your studies. We can do this by turning a big corner in your understanding of what science is and how it works. At the same time I can certainly advance your knowledge with more facts and figures, principles and practice, about key subjects that you need to understand and will use to deal with exams. In general I`ll tutor you by:

1. Getting you ready and confident for exams
2. Teaching you how science works - we`ll get you starting to really think and talk like a scientist
3. Making your science writing standout, precise and, well, scientific
4. Seeing science as not really difficult at all
5. Practicing past paper questions

Not necessarily in that order. Depends on what is needed most. My past and present students have responded well to this approach of tutoring. They have found it fun and interesting and have made significant improvements in their readiness for exams. They certainly become more confident. Above all, we will work through what the student feels is most important. I`m patient and responsive to the student`s needs.

I`m careful and meticulous in preparing material. I`m also very happy to set and mark additional homework, if required.
