My name is John and I recently completed my degree in physics from the University of Kent and will be taking on a masters degree in Big Data Science at Queen Mary University in September 2019.

I have a passion for physics, maths and computing. I believe that to excel at these subjects it is important for the student to have an intuitive understanding, particularly with such abstract concepts in physics and maths. I aim to provide students with a deep rooted intuition such that instead of simply memorising how to do a particular question, they are able to solve any problem they are faced with.

Availability: Available at most times throughout the week including weekdays, weeknights and weekends.

Experience: I obtained a 1st class honours degree in Physics from the University of Kent and I will be uptaking a masters degree in Big Data Science at Queen Mary University in the Academic year of 2019-20.

I created revision content using LaTex for Quantum Mechanics as part of a 3rd year group project so I have experience creating revision material. The title of this group project was `The Pedagogical Improvement of Quantum Mechanics` which looked both specifically and generally at the way in which people learn. The research I put into this project has helped me understand the ways in which people learn and can cater my teaching style to best help the student.
