Information about Samuel

I am a 5th year medical student at Newcastle University. I achieved 4 A*s at A level and 9 A*s at GCSE. Whilst at medical school I have continued to perform well academically, being in the top 5% of my year in all of our written exams.

I can be flexible with teaching methods and am happy for students to choose how the sessions are structured and exactly what material is covered. Worksheets and practice exam papers can also be provided and reviewed.

Availability: I am now unavailable to tutor for the 2017-2018 academic year.

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I did paid GCSE tutoring last year, as well as unpaid GCSE science and maths tutoring whilst as school. At University I have been a mentor for students in the year below, as well as charity work teaching sex education in local secondary schools.

Further teaching experience has been gained through running and teaching at multiple sessions which teach surgical skills to other medical students.

Sam has been a fantastic Maths tutor for my son. Very professional, always punctual and flexible. Most of all, his teaching techniques were excellent, he used a lot of past exam papers and also took the time to set out specific questions to help, challenge and prepare him effectively for his AS and A2 Maths exams. I would highly recommend him.

Tutored me in GCSE maths last year and took me from a grade E all the way to a grade B which was my final exam result. Great methods of teaching and always punctual and flexible with times . Highly recommend as he is a great tutor!
