Information about Letizia

I am half-French half-Italian, born in Canada. I have been employed as a language teacher and a face-to-face interpreter along my studies since 2006. I am currently only available to teach online.

I went through the French schooling system (as opposed to the Canadian-French system) in Montreal before attending university in English (BA Arts, McGill University, 2010) and theatre school in Italian (in Bologna and Milano, 2012-2014).

I have been based in London for two years, where I graduated from my MA at Goldsmiths University in 2015.

I have taught at Amnesty International and an advanced 1:1 Business French course at Latham&Watkins. I have taught Italian Intermediate and beginner courses through Cactus language school, as well as private classes and classes for two students.

I am happy to target my classes to long-term and short-term objectives. I am currently tutoring two couples who have been with me for a year to a year and a half.

I have tutored a GSCE French student, and have helped a student in developing language skills to deliver an MA lecture in Marseille, and have been tutoring the some of my students for over two years.

I am currently holding daily lunchtime French and Italian conversation classes at Barclays and Deloitte for Languagesatlunch.

Experience: I have been tutoring students of French, English and Italian conversation in Canada, Italy, and the UK.

At the moment, I am giving private French and Italian private classes and group classes through Cactus Language school. I am also employed as a face-to-face interpreter for NHS patients for French, Italian and Spanish.

I have been employed by the French as a Second Language Department of McGill University (Canada) as a conversation teacher, conducting drop-in classes to complement the French language courses offered by the department. I have then worked as a freelance English tutor in Italy.

I have also been working for the Italian Trade Commission and the Italian Chambers of Commerce (Canada), as well as for COOPIt - Cooperative for Interpreters and Translators (Italy) as a face-to-face interpreter before moving to the UK.

Letizia is a fantastic tutor. She has been supporting my son in preparation for his GCSE exams this year. From which his confidence has certainly grown and he has enjoyed the tutoring sessions.

Tutors Response :

Thank you Karen! I am happy to see Harry enthusiastic to learn more every week, and to see his progression!

We have been learning with Letizia for a couple of months now, and have really enjoyed the experience. She gives a great bespoke service, finding study materials which suit our interests and tailoring each lesson to our specific requirements. We have already greatly improved our French - highly recommended!

We are trying to re-capture our long-lost French with Letizia. She is always lively and enthusiastic, and in addition to extracts from text books, she uses a variety of media, including film and music, to make the lessons interesting. Each week she sends us a recap of the lesson, and our `devoirs.` We would recommend her to you.
