Tabitha

Hello! I’m Tabitha, a postgraduate Junior Doctor (MB ChB) with previous undergraduate BSc, offering primarily biology, chemistry and medicine tuition. I also offer French tuition having excelled at this in my own academic endeavours.

I have received full marks in multiple yearly final exams at medical school, graduated in the top 7 students of my year group, with Honours and an award for the highest Clinical Achievement of my cohort. I have a flair for adding real life colour to science and history teaching. My previous degree is in Biological Sciences from Durham University.

I am a very enthusiastic and caring teacher and I want to help students meet their highest potential in their studies. I have worked with students a lot and also have a spark for making lessons interesting and relatable, both of which I think make me a great fit to be a helpful and engaging tutor.

I want sessions to be fun and interesting for each student and will make a point of aiming to teach information in a way suited to the individual student I am with, using lots of different learning techniques (all of which are aimed at maximum engagement and none of which are lecturing a student monotonously!)

Experience: I have tutored several A level and GCSE students in the past, and have held long term previous jobs working with children of all ages, as well as in paediatric placements in hospitals.

I received 10 A*s at GCSE level, an A* in history at A level and A’s in Chemistry and Biology at A-level. I received a 2:1 degree from Durham University in Biological Sciences. I received a distinction in the first two years of my medical degree, a distinction in the final two years of my medical degree, and was awarded the rank of highest clinical achievement in my cohort, meaning I was first in my year for clinical assessments.
I currently work as a Junior Doctor in Oxford, currently based at the John Radcliffe Hospital.
