Experience: I am academic specialising in early Christian and ancient Jewish literature and religion. With over thirteen years of lecturing in the Universities of London and Oxford, I am also continue to publish my own research in top-level academic journals and monographs. I am particularly interested in the historical development of ancient Judaism and early Christianity within the wider ancient Mediterranean world. I have a specialism in the historical setting of New Testament texts, the Dead Sea Scrolls and other Jewish writings from the centuries around the turn of the Christian era.
