Information about Katie
I am a medical student, with a BSc (Hons) degree in Genetics and several years tutoring across various levels. My main tutoring subject is Biology, and I have taught children in Primary School through to students studying for their first year at University.
I have a wealth of experience teaching on a 1:1 basis, but recently, I have also started teaching revision sessions, with attendee numbers over 150.
I am confident and approachable, and have a keen interest in helping people gain knowledge in the biological/medical field. I am willing to travel to tutor, or have students come to my house.
My goal is to make science exciting and interesting as possible, because to me, it truly is a fascinating subject!
Availability: Week Days Only from 6pm.
Willing to travel: 10 miles
Experience: In 2012, I taught at a Special Needs Camp in America, with campers ranging from 5-18 years old.
From 2012-2014, I worked at an after school club, helping children gain confidence in subjects they were uncertain about, as well as helping them with such skills as teamwork, and building confidence.
During my first degree (which I obtained at the University of Liverpool), I began tutoring GSCE Biology. Gaining from this experience, I then moved onto A-Level and First Year University Level.
I have seen many of my students grow in confidence and knowledge, and it is truly inspiring to see.
