I have been working as a private tutor (with a focus on maths, English, non-verbal and verbal reasoning at 11+) for a few years now. During this time, I have helped my students obtain entrance to grammar schools like Townley Grammar and Newstead Wood School and attain scholarships and bursaries at such institutions as Colfe’s School, St Dunstant’s, James Allen’s Girls School, Alleyn’s School and others.

I have found that my experience with the 11+ exams has been enriched by the fact that I myself sat the exams and obtained a scholarship to one of the best schools in the world. Since then, I have gone on to study Law at the University of Leeds (obtaining a 2:1) and recently completed my LPC and Master`s in Law and Business, obtaining a Distinction.

With a focus on readying my students for the toughest exams, I always look to determine where my students can use the most assistance, whilst also ensuring that they improve on skills they already possess. I work hand-in-hand with parents to see to it that they and their children feel comfortable approaching me before, during and after lessons with questions about their studies, what will be required in the exams themselves and what they should most focus on. I am also very familiar with admission at the 11+ level for both grammar and private secondary schools.

I also recently completed my LPC and Master`s degree in Law and Business and obtained a Distinction in both. As such, I am also looking to tutor any students who are studying for the LPC.

Availability: I have the following slots currently available:

- 4-6pm or 5-7pm on Wednesday

- 4-6pm or 5-7pm on Friday

- 3-5pm on Saturday

Willing to travel: 5 miles

Experience: I am an experienced tutor (who started off by tutoring children of family friends, all of whom received admission to grammar/private schools) with a primary focus on preparing students for 11+ examinations. I just completed the process with several students for the 2021-2022 academic year.

I also have a few younger students who are currently focused on their KS2 education, though we are also ultimately preparing for the 11+.
