Information about Eleanor
Hi there! My name is Eleanor, and I offer Online Tuition for GCSE & A-Level English Literature.
Each student will receive a free PDF Bible that I have created, including essay templates for all the exam questions in the AQA syllabus: Examine, Explore, Compare and Discuss. Further topics included are:
the proper structure of an essay,
engaging with critics,
identifying literary techniques,
model answers,
extracts from my personal work.
Before your first lesson, I will arrange a free 20-minute consultation beforehand to discuss the texts you are learning and what you would like to improve. This ensures I am fully prepared for your lesson.
I am happy to mark an essay outside of tuition hours before submission to your school teacher, or any formal written work following our lesson.
A significant reason why I excel in academia is that my approach is purely logical. I spent time dissecting precisely what criteria needs to be met, and how to achieve the highest possible marks. I have followed this method for the English Literature GCSE & A-Level syllabus, and I look forward to sharing this knowledge with you.
Willing to travel: Home Only
Experience: I achieved an A* in English Literature GCSE & A-Level and graduated with a First-Class Honours in Bachelor of Laws. I look forward to completing a Master of Laws at Cambridge University in September 2021.
Over the past few years, during my tutoring career, I have helped students from ages 15-18 with their English Literature studies and 18-24 with their Legal Studies. Outside of academia, I have coached students for advocacy and public speaking.
One-to-one tutoring is a fantastic way to develop your skills, build up your confidence and score high in those all-important examinations! I love connecting with each student individually and understanding how best they learn to achieve (and exceed!) their goals.
I have experience in tutoring with learning difficulties, such as Dyslexia, and I have navigated successful methods to aid my disability. If you have any questions or concerns regarding this, please do not hesitate to contact me.
